I got lots of questions on how I made the lace cross top (which I wore here) so I decided to give you guys a tutorial on how I created this! I didn't take pictures when creating the grey one, so I created a new one. Follow the following steps and you'll end up with a lace cross top!
First you'll need to get yourself a top and some lace fabric. Also, make sure you've got some scissors that are made specially for fabrics!! If you use paperscissors, the cross won't come out as good as when you use fabricscissors (you can buy a good pair at Hema!)
Then, after choosing your top & findin the lace fabric: cut a cross out of the fabric after deciding how big you want it to be
Mark the places where you want to cut a cross out of the top. I cut a smaller cross out of the top, so that I was able to sew the cross on it without having a very hard time. Then cut the cross out of the top
Sew the lace cross on your top and you're all done!
I hope you'll have a great time doing this DIY! I'd love to see some of your results on your blogs when you're done! :)
Love,
Saskia

ReplyDeleteLove that idea! Must do it myself but maybe with some other shapes. Not being religious and wearing crosses always seems so odd to me.
