DIY embellished flower sunglasses

image from Dolly Bow Bow

Floral sunglasses. I came across some pairs on Instagram a while ago, and ever since that moment, I haven't stopped thinking about doing a DIY on them. So I took some time, some glue, some glasses and some flowers to try and get some happy glasses.

Why make some sunglasses now, when fall has started over a month ago? Well, this is the time when the sun isn't that high in the sky, but it still shines quite bright. So when driving, or riding your bike, or walking on the street, you're sometimes blinded by the sunlight, especcially later in the afternoon. And that's why you really need sunglasses now: to prevent accidents from happening (I may have exaggerated that a little bit, but I bet it happens with car drivers).

Want to know how my happy glasses turned out, and how I did it?

What you'll need
- Sunglasses (I used some old ones which you can see above, but you can buy cheap pairs at H&M, Forever 21, C&A....)
- Super glue
- Flower embellishments

Step 1.
Get your flower embellishments and gently put some glue on them. Be careful: don't use too much glue, or else your flower will slide away. Push the flower onto the glasses firmly, and hold it there for some time. Let it go carefully to check if it stays.

Step 2.
Work your way around the glasses. You can choose to go all over the place, like the top picture of this post, but I decided to keep it a bit easier, by just putting some flowers on the top of the glasses. You can also put them on the sides, working with various sizes of flowers (put one big flower in the corner, and then work with smaller flowers when going to the sides and bottom of the glasses, like these ones from Dolce & Gabbana. Try folding and unfolding your glasses a couple of times throughout the process: make sure the flowers aren't put too much to the side, which will cause the glasses not to unfold properly.

Step 3.
Let the glue dry for a couple of hours, and then they're all ready to wear!!

Do you love these floral sunglasses? Are you planning on trying this as well? Let me know!
