Hi guys!
Here's my last post of 2012, a year that has brought me a lot. I passed my exams, am going to college in Utrecht now, I made new friends, went to the Amsterdam Fashion Week, got to meet even more amamzing people, I've got over 300 followers... I'd just like to say thank you. Thank you for everything, for supporting me, leaving comments, following, some of you even kept reading my blog after I didn't post anything for about two weeks haha. You guys are amazing!!
Besides closing this year, I also have to show you the last holiday look from the photoshoot. The make-up is pretty calm in this one, but that doesn't make it less gorgeous. And the super cute kitty cat in the pic is Mira's. His name is Casper, he's so cute!! But just look at the paws, this kitty will grow!
What I'm wearing:
H&M dress // Zara knuckle box bag
Make-up
face ~ Garnier BB Creme, Estée Lauder blusher, Sephora blusher, Clinique powder
eyes ~ Dior eyeshadow, Sephora eyeshadow
lips ~ Essence lipgloss
I wish you all the very best for 2013!! May this year bring you joy, luck, love, and lots and lots of gorgeous, fashionable moments ;-)
I've got a little surprise in store for you for 2013: I cut my hair! And it's short, super short. I'll get back to you on this, but for now you'll all have to go party and celebrate the passing of this year!!
Love,
Saskia

Christmas Time
Hi guys!
Here are some of my Christmas pics! I had a blast this year, I hope next year will be just as much fun, or maybe even more fun. In the Netherlands, we celebrate two days of Christmas besides Christmas Eve. I celebrated Christmas eve with my girlfriend and her mom. We unwrapped our gifts, talked, ate and just relaxed at home. I got the most amazing gifts, seriously. Rinske and her mother had gone totally crazy in stores (and online), I'm so super happy with the gifts (even though it might be a little bit too much!)!!
Rinske got me two items of the Anna Dello Russo for H&M collection: the clutch and the crocodile bracelet. Oh how I've been craving for those items... I also got robot shaped baubles. Robots are just amazing, seriously. You don't know how happy I was when I unwrapped this gift ha ha! I also got gloves and a pretty ring.
We celebrated first Christmas day with my family. My mother got me a gorgeous rose golden bracelet, I'm so in love. My sis also got me amazing gifts: a super nice necklace and the most amazing lenses box you've ever seen: shaped like an owl.. So cute!! In the evening, whe had a huge family diner. It was delicious.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas as much as I did!
X Saskia
ps... Want to see more of this outfit? I've also shown it here, in the first post of a photoshoot I did last Sunday with Mira and Loes Ennen!

Shine Bright
Hi guys!
Here's photoshoot look no. 2!! I just love how the make-up matches the dress, which by the way is an amazing find. I bought it at H&M for only €14,95!! Talking about a bargain! This dress will make your New Year's Eve super sparkly. Christmas is already over, so we have to start worrying about our New Year's eve outfit already... Well, if you're still in need for a dress, just visit H&M. Gorgeous dresses for amazing prices.
And now about the hair and make-up.. My hair was done by Mira, I just love it. The braids really finish the bun, they make this elegant bun a bit more girly and fun. The make-up is just amazing. Loes did the eyeshadow by just experimenting with colors, and in the end the dress was perfectly copied on my eyes. Wouldn't you just kill for those make-up skills? ;-)
What I'm wearing
H&M dress // Jimmy Choo for H&M clutch // Versace for H&M heels
Make-up
face ~ Garnier BB creme // Clinique powder // Estée Lauder & Sephora blusher
eyes ~ Hema eye pencil // Sephora eyeshadow
lips ~ Essence lipgloss
I'm wearing an H&M hair donut
Hope you guys like the pics so far!! I've got one more festive outfit for the holiday season in store, and also some Christmas pics. I got the most amazing presents.. Pics of them and some other Christmas pics will be online soon! I hope you guys had as much fun as I had on Christmas day. What did you do? Dinner with the entire family or just relax at home?

Just Hear Those Sleighbells Jingling...
Hi guys!
Do you remember how I told you about the Christmas / New Year's Eve photoshoot? Well, we finally did it! Yesterday I spent the day with two lovely girls, Mira and Loes Ennen. We met early in the morning and I left in the evening, and the results are great. Besides taking pics, we also just had a really great day.
We've got three looks coming up for you, and we're definitely planning on doing such a day again. We'd love to know what you think about these photoshoots, and I'd also love to know what you think about getting my blog a beauty-boost. Mira is great at doing your hair (hair in the pics is done by her, really, wow!) and Loes is an amazing make-up artist haha (as you can see in the pics as well). I'd love to team up with them some more, let them do make-up or other beauty stuff reviews and put them on my blog as guest posts. So please let us know what you think! :-)
Well, here are the first few pics. I had a quite hard time sorting them all out, we took lots and lots of pictures. This first Christmas look is super sparkly and fun. I love the shoulder parts in it, and the V-shaped bottom of the top. I paired it with a nice sparkly sequin skirt to make it all over the top. Gotta love sparkles, right? ;-)
What I'm wearing:
Episode top // Vero Moda sequin skirt // Versace for H&M heels
What make-up did Loes use?
face ~ Garnier BB Creme // Clinique powder Estée Lauder & Sephora blusher
eyes ~ Essence eyeshadow
lips ~ Essence lipgloss
Pics by Mira
Happy holidays everyone!!

Shopping: Perfect for Christmas
Hi guys!
December's almost here, just a few more days! Christmas fun is coming closer and closer, but here in the Netherlands we first have Sinterklaas to celebrate on the 5th of December! Then after that, it's all about Christmas. But, what to wear?? And what to wear on New Year's Eve?? Well, I'm planning on doing a Christmas outfit and make up ideas photoshoot. I'm not sure yet when we'll be doing the shoot, but I'll keep you guys up to date!
Here are some things I bought lately, both the top and the backpack are from a vintage store in Utrecht, Episode. You can also find this shop in Amterdam, Brussel,London, Paris and Copenhagen. Maybe you have visited their store once? I'd love to know what you guys bought over there, or what your thoughts are on the store! We used to have it in Rotterdam as well, but unfortunately it's gone. But as I'm studying in Utrecht and the store is not very far away from my school, I can still visit it often :-)
I've been looking for a backpack like this for sooo long. And, newsflash, I've bought more bags than shoes last month haha. I'm seeing a little shift in my addictions...

Shopping: Finally got my knuckle box
Hi guys!
Do you know the knuckle box? The incredible, extremely gorgeous knuckle box? Well, I got myself one of those incredible, extremely gorgeous knuckle boxes yesterday!! I've been craving it for such a long time now... It wasn't cheap at all, but my mother gave me a gift card (I still had to pay a lot though, but it helped, thanks mum! <3) so I just bought it. I knew I would regret it if I didn't buy it. So why not? Why not be a little crazy sometimes, if it will make you happy for a much longer time? And I can guarantee you: I'm happy. Super happy. Do you love this bag just as much as I do?

Preparing for Winter
Hi guys!
It's getting colder and colder these days.. People outside are wearing thick coats, gloves and warm boots. I´m trying not to wear gloves yet, or too warm clothes. If I start wearing my warmest clothes right now, what should I wear in December?? I'm already wearing my winter coat though. It's really nice and warm, from Zara. I shared it on my instagram account already, so it'll be up on my blog soon in another instagram post! :-) For the pics below, I decided to wear my old winter coat, which I bought two years ago at H&M. I bought the fuzzy hat I'm wearing last year, so I'm kind of mixing these old items. But this hat will be perfect for each winter, and the combination with the coat is just really comfy and cute. What do you think? :-)
What I'm wearing:
H&M fake fur coat // River Island hat // Accessorize ring
While your reading this, I'm getting all prepared to walk in a fashion show! Woohoo, how amazing is that!! It's a fashion show organized by my sister's friend. I'm so excited, I hope I can post some pics of the show later! I'll keep you up to date through my twitter page! ;-)

Instadiary
Hi guys!
Haven't updated my blog in quite some time (again..)! As you might have read, I had my first exams last Friday and Monday. We spent the rest of our week in Hilversum, working on a project. Tomorrow will be the last day of this project, after which 'normal school life' will start again. I'm sorry for not posting any outfit pics in a very, very, very long time! I come home late every day, so it's already too dark outside to take outfit pics.. I hope I'll have more time next week!
Here's another instagram update. You can follow me via the link below this post. My username's saskiavanrij. I'll also post lots of my instagram pics on my twitter account!

DIY Neon Necklace
Hi guys!
A couple of weeks ago, I bought a necklace in sale at H&M, but I never really wore it. It has a quite classy look, so it can make an outfit very neat. Then I thought about the neon trend taking over.. Why not give this necklace a little neon touch, to make it edgier and less neat? Well, that's what I did. I searched and searched for a neon spray paint (which I eventually found at Formido, a Dutch construction market) and then started spraying! Want to know how to create a necklace like this? Well then, here we go.
What you'll need
- Your necklace
- Spray paint
- Tape to cover the parts you don't want to spray
- Newspapers
- Hairspray
Follow these easy steps to create your neon necklace!
1. Cover the parts you don't want to color in tape. Make sure you don't see any bead directly next to the one you want to spray, to prevent these beads from being colored. You can just wrap some tape around the other beads, as we're also gonna cover this in a newspaper or anything else you'd like to use (an old towel / t-shirt / ...)
2. Go outside! You don't want to cover your entire house in neon. Put a newspaper underneath your necklace and the towel / t-shirt / extra newspaper over your necklace. Then start spraying. I sprayed about 3 layers on the beads.
3. Let it dry. You can spray some hairspray over the paint when it's completely dry, to seal your paint.
4. Wear it proudly! :-)
Of course you can also do this with any kind of object you'd like to spray. Personally, I'd love to spray the heel or toe caps of a pair of heels / flats / whatever type of shoe. Are you planning on doing a neon DIY? I'd love to know what you're gonna do and how it turned out! Of course you'll see any other neon DIY's from my hands as soon as they're completed ;-)

Green Galaxy
Hi guys!
Here's what I wore today. I bought this galaxy print top Wednesday on sale at WE. The weahter here in the Netherlands has really been fall-like. It's raining, it's getting colder, and what I really don't like: it's still dark when I have to go to school (at 7 a.m.). The darkness almost screams to me: "it's way too early!! You should still be in bed!!" But apart from waking up early, school has been good so far! I've also found a job, so I'm earning some money again haha. Oh, by the way, have you guys noticedmy twitter page already? I just started it so I'm still working on it! I'll be posting all my Instagram pics on this page, but I'll also post an Instagram post again soon! ;-) Well, I won't keep you any longer, here are the pics!!
What I'm wearing:
WE top // H&M shorts // Bullboxer + DIY heels // vintage bracelet
Have a nice evening and weekend, I'm off to my friends to have a catching-up-dinner!

Winter Cravings
Hi guys!
School has started again and you can notice that in my lack of blog posts... But today I decided to go a little creative. I hadn't done anything with my polyvore account in a very long while, so I logged on to polyvore and took some time to create my winter wish list. Although I can't pay for most of these items (like the lipstick and mascara: gorgeous items, but being a student means not having a lot of money, so I guess I'll have to find cheaper options!) I still wanted to show you my cravings.
There's also a couple of Vivi clothes items on this list: the gorgeous black high heeled ankle boots, the panda bag and the ring in the middle of the image. You know how I love heels, and when I saw this pair... If only I had the money!! I'm also showing you this panda bag (way too expensive.. Just my luck) as I really love animal shaped or whatever-kind-of-things shaped bags. I've got a car shaped bag, a house shaped, a snail shaped, a bus shaped and more of those bags. How awesome would a panda shaped bag be?? And about the ring, well, I just love rings. When I was younger I sometimes wore 10 rings: one on each finger... Now I only wear two haha, but I still buy lots of rings!
Even though lots of items on vivi-clothes.com are pretty affordable, I've got the talent to choose the most expensive things. Or, well, not the most expensive, but those things were pretty expensive. The ring was affordable though, so I might face a lot of trouble not buying it. Have you ever ordered something from Vivi Clothes? And what are you currently raving for?
Have a nice evening! :-)

Little Bit of Back in Time
Hi guys!
I promised to show you some more pictures of Hungary, so here they are! I'm showing you the pictures of my precious bathing suit, which isn't exactly suitable for swimming competitions, or maybe even swimming at all. But oh, how I love it! The flowers on the top, the small diamonds in the flowers, the color, the shape... I saw it in store, fell in love with it, and fell even more in love with it after seeing the "SALE!" tag on it. Only 14 euros, my dear followers. Fourteen, yes. Well, I won't keep you any longer, here are the pics!
little surfer girl haha
What I'm wearing:
River Island bathing suit
Do you own a bathing suit or do you prefer a bikini? :-) Have a nice weekend guys!

Here's another outfit post! The sun was already setting, so some of the pics really got this nice orange kind of glow on them. I'm wearing one of my new items: printed pants! I saw them in store and immediately fell in love. I did buy a flower printed jeans before, but I actually never wore them. I thought I'd never buy printed pants again, as they also didn't look very good on me. But those pants... I just fell in love. The pattern, the look of it, the model... They're perfect, don't you think? :-)
What I'm wearing:
H&M top // Zara pants // Roberto Durville flats // H&M bracelets
Have a nice weekend! I hope the weather will be just as good at your place as it currently is in the Netherlands! :-)
Oh by the way, I thought I only had about 100 followers, but it turned out that there's over 200 of you! I just wanted to say that I really appreciate every follower, every comment and every pageview :-) Thank you all!
X Saskia
PS. For the Dutchies: hebben jullie de blog van mijn vriendin Rinske al gezien? Nee? Doen dan! Je vindt 'm hier
